Discipleship

2 Timothy 2:2 "And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also." Welcome to the Discipleship ministry at Northside Baptist Church. We are excited about what God will do in your life through discipleship. What is discipleship? I have had many mature Christians inform me they wish they had someone when they first accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior guide them and answer basic questions like, 'why do we do this and why don't we do that'. Discipleship provides the mentoring needed to answer these questions and to establish the basic Biblical foundational framework in which to build your life upon. Who is discipleship for? It is for those who have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and desire to grow closer to Him. This means if you have recently accepted Christ as your personal Lord and Savior or if you have been a child of His for many years, we all have room to grow in Him. How is discipleship conducted? It is a one on one or couple with couple mentoring of basic biblical principles found in the Word of God in a structured format. The format is 16 booklets organized by topics like Salvation, Eternal Security, Baptism, The Holy Spirit, and so on. Typically you meet once a week to study the Bible reviewing the previous lessons questions and memory verses and studying the next lesson. How much does it cost? Nothing. We believe in the ministry and will provide to you the lesson booklets. Who do I contact for discipleship? Geoff Rezutko.
